Stuart Niven

Regional Director - North
Read bio

After graduating with a Geography degree and working in the private sector, Stuart joined the charitable sector in 2003. He enjoys building relationship with charities across Scotland and the north of England. And he’s especially interested in social housing, becoming a Trustee of his local Housing Association in 2017.
Off the clock: Golf, skiing and sailing keep Stuart busy outside of working hours.

Scott Newman

Regional Director - South

Scott Joined CAF Bank in 2014, bringing 14 years of private banking experience and a sound knowledge of development finance. He has a detailed knowledge of our entire lending offering, from charity loans to social purpose projects.


Off the clock: Scott loves a challenge, and is a serial fundraiser. To name a few – he has raised money through the London Marathon, Ride 100, Swim Serpentine (together they make the London Classics Medal), the Three Peaks, cycling from London to Paris and walking from our London office to our Kent office.

Ben Harris

Senior Relationship Director

Ben has worked in the charity sector for over 12 years. Before joining CAF, he worked with a small national health charity. The strong growth he helped them achieve gave him a crucial insight to the challenges of maintaining sustainable funding streams. 


Off the clock: Ben coaches kids’ football and is actively involved with his local youth football club.

Ben Jowitt

Ben has been providing support to a wide range of charities and not-for-profit organisations with CAF Bank since 2015. He has over. 10 years’ experience working exclusively with charities, and previously worked in retail and commercial banking for 25 years. 


Off the clock: Ben spends his downtime playing bass in a 60s and 70s cover band.

Faye Hennessy

Faye is passionate about her role at CAF, which is all about building relationships with charities, intermediaries and other third sector stakeholders across the Midlands and South Wales. Faye’s aim is to support people in achieving their goals, with a view to enabling UK charities to achieve more, She will be more than happy to chat with you about any enterprise, big or small.


Off the clock: Faye loves to be outdoors, walking, cycling, swimming, particularly with her partner Chris and their daughters….when they’ll come!

Iain Smith

Relationship Director

Iain has over 30 years’ experience in the banking sector, managing varied corporate and commercial clients for the last 15 years. By building credible relationships with charities, intermediaries, and stakeholders, Iain ensures a collaborative approach delivering the best possible outcome for charities.
Off the clock: Walking, cycling and music. Iain will also take on most DIY projects.

Alan Hogarth

Relationship Director

Alan has over 25 years experience working in corporate and commercial banking, looking after customers ranging from national and international corporates to local family businesses. Like many, Covid was a time for change, and Alan moved into the world of construction and trained to become a site manager, building up a new range of experiences and professional qualifications. However, for some time, Alan had been keen to work in the charitable sector and seized the opportunity to work with CAF Bank and thereby contribute towards improving society for all.
Off the clock: Cricket, Football, Rugby, Baseball and his rescue hens!

Fraser Mckay

Relationship Director

Fraser joined CAF Bank in 2023, bringing over 30 years of commercial banking experience. He has also been involved with economic regeneration and with a Not-for-Profit organisation responsible for project management between private and public sector organisations. Fraser enjoys adding value to charities through collaboration in order to deliver the best possible outcome for them. 
Off the clock: Fraser loves being outdoors, walking and gardening and also enjoys live music as well.

Andrew Smith

Relationship Director

Andy joined CAF Bank in 2017, bringing extensive experience from his 30 years in lending roles within the banking industry. He has detailed knowledge of commercial and property transactions, which he has used to support all types of residential development and refurbishment projects. Now, he is focusing on wider charity and social purpose lending. 
Off the clock: Andy loves watching motor sport, including F1, and attends the 24 Hours of Le Mans every year. He spends a lot of his time watching his two sons play football and cricket, and is also involved in coaching youth football.

Melissa Butler

Relationship Manager

Melissa joined CAF Bank in 2019 soon after finishing her degree in Banking and Financial Planning. Melissa's first role was with the Customer Service Team where she learnt about all areas of the Bank and how they support charities. In 2022 she moved to her current Relationship Manager role. Now, Melissa works closely with charities who are generally looking to expand and further their important services. Melissa uses her customer service and relationship building skills to assist Relationship Directors in their everyday tasks.

Charlotte Jago

Relationship Manager

Charlotte has worked at CAF since 2006 in a variety of roles. In her current position she supports a team of Relationship Directors to support charities in achieving their goals. Building relationships is important to Charlotte, so Customer Service and client interaction is always at the forefront of her mind.
Off the clock: Charlotte is a huge fan of Formula One. She has been to several Grand Prix’s and was even lucky enough to have received a personal signed wedding card from Christian Horner himself! She also loves going on muddy country walks with her French bulldog Florence.
